About
The left-arm speedster first caught attention during the 2018 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he picked up 13 wickets in eight matches while consistently clocking speeds around the 140 kmph mark. Still in his teens, the Moradabad pacer earned an IPL call-up from Mumbai Indians, who picked him up at his base price of INR 20 lakh ahead of the 2018 season. Known for his raw pace, he quickly rose through the ranks, but like many fast bowlers, his progress was hampered by a series of injuries that affected his consistency. Mohsin was later picked up by Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, but following the tournament he suffered a major health scare when a rare aneurysm in the axillary artery of his left shoulder nearly cost him his bowling arm. An emergency surgery followed, and doctors were uncertain whether he would be able to return to professional cricket. Showing remarkable determination, Mohsin underwent a rigorous rehabilitation process and made a successful comeback in the 2023 IPL. He produced a defining moment in 2024 when he defended 11 runs in the final over against Mumbai Indians, and his resilience and impact were rewarded as he became one of Lucknow Super Giants’ five retained players ahead of the 2025 IPL season.
