About
Jordan Cox is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter who plays for Kent. He progressed through club cricket and first appeared for Kent’s Second XI in 2017. Strong performances at that level earned him promotion to the senior side, and he made his first-class debut in 2019. His talent also brought him recognition from the ECB, leading to selection in England’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup.
Cox made a major breakthrough when he converted his maiden first-class century into a double hundred, and he was part of a record-breaking 423-run partnership with Jack Leaning. He continued to rise as a white-ball player, playing a key role in Kent’s 2021 T20 Blast triumph, where he was named Player of the Match for a quickfire 58 off 28 balls in the final.
His performances opened doors in franchise cricket. He was picked by Oval Invincibles for The Hundred and later played for Hobart Hurricanes in the 2021/22 Big Bash League. He also featured for Dambulla Aura in the Lanka Premier League and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20. In the 2023/24 season, he joined Melbourne Renegades in the BBL, continuing his global franchise career.
