About
Ben Dwarshuis is a left-arm fast bowler known for his skiddy pace and powerful lower-order hitting. A mainstay for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League since his debut in 2014, Dwarshuis made a mark in BBL|06, claiming 13 wickets in 10 games and establishing himself as a reliable white-ball operator.
Despite regular performances in domestic cricket, Dwarshuis’ progress was often hampered by injuries, limiting his appearances for New South Wales, especially in the 2016–17 Matador Cup where he played only the opening fixture.
His impressive BBL outings earned him IPL call-ups twice—first with Kings XI Punjab in 2018 and later as an injury replacement for Delhi Capitals in 2021. However, he didn’t feature in the playing XI on either occasion.
Dwarshuis finally made his long-awaited international debut in 2022, featuring in a one-off T20I against Pakistan. Primarily seen as a white-ball specialist, he expanded his game by making his first-class debut for NSW in the 2022–23 season, showing his ambition to evolve into a multi-format player.
