Nthabiseng Nini marked her 21st birthday celebrations with a remarkable international debut spell, becoming only the second South African to take a wicket with her first international delivery after Chloe Tryon. Mupachikwa then combined with Michelle Mavunga to take Zimbabwe closer to a respectable total. When Mavunga was caught by Laura Wolvaardt in the covers, Zimbabwe were still only 81 for 7 and 19 runs short of 100. Nomvelo Sibanda helped push the total beyond three figures before Zimbabwe eventually finished on 116, recovering significantly from their disastrous start.
