About
Born in Singapore to Australian parents, Tim David's journey to international cricket has been anything but conventional. After moving to Australia at the age of two, David grew up in Perth, where his passion for cricket blossomed. The game ran in his blood — his father, Rod David, represented Singapore in the 1997 ICC Trophy.
Following in his father's footsteps, Tim began his international career with Singapore, representing the nation in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers. However, his career soon took a major turn. By 2022, David had switched allegiance to Australia and made his debut for the national side in a T20I against India.
Known for his powerful middle-order hitting and his handy seam-up and off-spin bowling, David quickly became one of the most sought-after names in T20 leagues worldwide. His franchise journey began with the Perth Scorchers in the 2018/19 Big Bash League. Since then, he has plied his trade across the globe — featuring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL), The Hundred, Indian Premier League (IPL), SA20, and most recently, Major League Cricket in the USA.
Tim David's rise reflects the modern cricketing landscape — global, fast-paced, and tailor-made for versatile power-hitters like him.
