About

Mackenzie Harvey is a hard-hitting left-handed batsman who emerged as a promising talent in Australian cricket at a young age. He was drafted by the Melbourne Renegades as a replacement player for Aaron Finch during the 2017–18 Big Bash League season, marking his introduction to top-level domestic T20 cricket.

He went on to make his List A debut for Victoria in the 2018–19 JLT One-Day Cup, further establishing himself in Australia’s domestic setup. Harvey’s leadership credentials were underlined in 2020 when he captained Australia at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The nephew of former Australian all-rounder Ian Harvey, Mackenzie has continued the family’s cricketing legacy. He was later selected to represent a Cricket Australia XI against England, an opportunity he seized with an impressive innings of 59 off just 48 balls, showcasing his aggressive stroke play and potential at higher levels.
