Devon Conway is an attacking left-handed batsman and a capable wicket-keeper, known for his consistency and adaptability across formats. Originally from South Africa, Conway had already made a mark in domestic cricket there—with nearly 100 First-class and 70 List A games—before relocating to New Zealand in 2017 to pursue international opportunities.

Upon his arrival, he joined the University Club and soon began featuring for the Wellington Firebirds in the Super Smash. Initially a backup option, Conway's opportunities increased when first-choice keeper Tom Blundell was called up to the national team. Conway became eligible to represent New Zealand in August 2020 and made his international debut shortly after in T20Is.
