Ben Stokes, born 4 June 1991 in Christchurch, New Zealand, is one of the most explosive and dynamic all-rounders in modern cricket. The son of former New Zealand rugby league player Gerald Stokes, Ben combines aggressive batting with effective seam bowling, making him a game-changer in all formats.

Stokes joined Durham at 18 and made an early mark in youth cricket, scoring a century in the 2010 U-19 World Cup and performing strongly in first-class cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2011 and Test debut in 2013, immediately showing his potential with both bat and ball, including a maiden Test century and a six-wicket haul in the Ashes. Despite intermittent injuries and disciplinary setbacks, Stokes consistently bounced back with world-class performances.

His career highlights include the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he starred in the Super Over against New Zealand, and the 2019 Ashes at Headingley, scoring an unforgettable unbeaten 135 in England’s dramatic one-wicket win.
