About

Standing close to 200 cm tall, Beau Webster is a powerful top-order batter and a versatile bowling option capable of delivering both off-spin and medium pace. Representing Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield, Webster made his first-class debut against Queensland in Hobart in February 2014 after impressing with dominant performances in the Tasmanian Premier League.

At just 20 years of age, Webster amassed 677 runs at an average of 45.13 for Kingborough, earning a rookie contract in the 2012–13 season. His consistent domestic performances paved the way for his first-class debut the following year. He was also signed by the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League, though opportunities were limited initially.

Webster finally made his mark during the 2016–17 BBL season when he was given regular chances and showcased his potential. Ahead of BBL 07, he moved to the Melbourne Renegades, spending a couple of seasons there before joining the Melbourne Stars for the 2021–22 season.

On the representative stage, Webster featured for Australia A against India A in 2016 and delivered several notable performances. His mental resilience was highlighted in 2017 when, after being overlooked by Tasmania, he responded with a century for Cricket Australia XI in the opening match of the JLT One-Day Cup.

In 2023, Webster enjoyed a standout stint with Essex in the One-Day Cup, finishing as both the team’s leading run-scorer and leading wicket-taker—further underlining his value as a genuine all-rounder.
