About

Ali Khan is a fast bowler who now represents the United States, having been born and raised in Pakistan before migrating to the US with his family shortly before adulthood. Growing up playing street cricket in Pakistan, Ali carried his passion for the game to America, where he began competing in local T20 tournaments. His journey into organized cricket started with a simple Facebook message to Maq Qureshi, requesting an opportunity to play in a local tournament—an opportunity that would change his career.

Strong performances in domestic T20 competitions quickly earned Ali national attention. When the ICC launched open trials in the United States as part of its efforts to develop cricket in the region, the initiative proved pivotal for him. Spotted by legendary fast bowler Courtney Walsh at the trials, Ali was immediately selected in a 15-man West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) squad for an international tournament.

Blessed with the ability to bowl high-pace yorkers, swing both the new and old ball, and deliver under pressure, Ali Khan was quickly identified as a valuable asset. His rise continued when he was drafted into the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2016, marking his entry into top-tier franchise cricket.

Ali’s breakthrough moment came when he dismissed Kumar Sangakkara with the first ball he bowled to him while playing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. He has since remained a regular in the CPL and currently represents the Trinbago Knight Riders. After receiving his Green Card in 2016, Ali became eligible to represent the United States national team, making his debut in World Cricket League Division Four. Since then, he has continued to serve as the spearhead of the USA bowling attack.

Still in the early stages of his career, Ali Khan is widely regarded as one of the most exciting fast-bowling prospects in American cricket and aspires to help lead the USA to a Cricket World Cup in the years ahead.
