About
Saim Ayub is a stylish left-handed batter widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s most promising young talents. Known for his elegance and composure at the crease, Ayub made his international debut in March 2023 during a T20I series against Afghanistan in Sharjah.
Despite a slow start to his international career, he showcased his potential with a fluent 49 against a strong Afghan bowling attack featuring Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Mohammad Nabi. He followed that up with another impactful knock — a composed 47 against New Zealand in Lahore, batting in the middle order. His contribution helped Pakistan secure a commanding 88-run victory in that match.
In addition to his international outings, Ayub has gained valuable experience in franchise cricket across various leagues. With natural flair, a solid technique, and age on his side, Saim Ayub is seen as a long-term prospect for Pakistan’s white-ball setup and a player with the potential to become a mainstay in the national side.
