About
A towering fast bowler from Toowoomba, Brendan Doggett made a strong impression early in his career with an impressive Sheffield Shield debut, claiming four wickets in his first match, including the prized scalp of Glenn Maxwell. His potential was identified early, earning him selection in Queensland’s Futures League squad and a rookie contract with the Brisbane Heat.
Doggett received a rookie contract with the Queensland Bulls in 2016, though opportunities were limited initially. He made his List A debut in the 2016–17 Matador Cup for Cricket Australia XI and followed it up with his first-class debut for Queensland the next season. Seeking greater opportunities, he moved to South Australia ahead of the 2021–22 season.
In the Big Bash League, Doggett represented the Brisbane Heat from the 2017–18 season before joining the Sydney Thunder in 2019–20. He later featured for the Adelaide Strikers during the 2023–24 BBL season.
