About
Born into a cricketing family in Dublin, Kim Garth made headlines early in her career, debuting for Ireland at the age of just 14, becoming the youngest Irishwoman to play international cricket. With both her parents having represented Ireland and her brother, Jonathan Garth, also a professional cricketer, Kim’s pathway into the sport felt destined.
A pace-bowling all-rounder, Garth was a central figure in Ireland’s women’s team for over a decade, representing the side in three World Cups and establishing herself as one of their most dependable players.
A Bold Move Down Under
In 2020, seeking greater opportunities, Garth made a bold career move by relocating to Australia, signing a two-year deal with Victoria in domestic cricket. Her consistent performances quickly caught the attention of national selectors. In 2022, after meeting eligibility requirements, Garth made her Australian debut in a T20I series against India, followed by her Test debut in 2023.
She was part of the Australian squad for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, continuing her meteoric rise in the world’s most competitive women's cricket environment.
