An up and coming fast bowler from Karnataka, Vidhwath Kaverappa had a stellar domestic season in 2021-22. A proven red ball bowler, Kaverappa has played 10 First Class games as of 2023, and averages 21.67 with the ball with 34 wickets to his name. Kaverappa is the second highest wicket taker for Karnataka in the 2022-23 Ranji season, and has made heads turn with his performances. A tall, lanky hit the deck bowler, Vidhwath Kaverappa persistence has made him quite successful.
He performed decently in the 2022 Karnataka Premier League, and that helped him earn a maiden IPL contract with Punjab Kings for the 2023 season.
