About

Gurjapneet Singh, originally from Ludhiana, moved to Chennai at the age of 17 to pursue a career in cricket. It was there, far from his hometown, that the left-arm seamer developed and refined his skills. He first gained recognition in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Premier League after being picked by Dindigul Dragons. In 2023, he joined Siechem Madurai Panthers and finished the season with 15 wickets.

In 2024, Gurjapneet made his debut for Tamil Nadu cricket team in both the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He delivered a standout performance in a Ranji match against Saurashtra cricket team, taking 6/22, including the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck. After serving as a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings in the 2024 season, he was subsequently signed by the franchise for the 2025 Indian Premier League season.
