Rinku Singh is one of the most inspiring success stories in Indian cricket. Hailing from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, the left-handed batter comes from a humble background and overcame significant financial struggles during his early years. He is the third of five siblings, with his father working as an LPG cylinder delivery man and his brother driving an auto-rickshaw. He famously hit five consecutive sixes against Gujarat Titans in the final over to script one of the greatest run chases in IPL history. His consistent finishing heroics throughout the season relieved pressure from senior players like Andre Russell and cemented his reputation as a reliable match-winner.

His performances earned him a place in India’s T20I squad for the Ireland tour, where he continued to showcase his calmness and finishing skills on the international stage. Rinku quickly became regarded as one of India’s most dependable lower-order batters in the shortest format.

In IPL 2025, Rinku Singh further strengthened his reputation as a dependable middle-order and death-over specialist. While he may not have produced as many dramatic finishes as in 2023, his maturity and game awareness stood out.
