About
Ramandeep Singh is a strongly built utility all-rounder from Chandigarh, known for his explosive power-hitting and exceptional fielding. Primarily a middle-order batter, he expanded his skill set by developing his bowling to emerge as a valuable pace-bowling all-rounder in T20 cricket. Representing Punjab, Ramandeep claimed a memorable hat-trick in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with Ambati Rayudu among his victims. His consistent domestic performances earned him an invitation to Mumbai Indians’ trials, following which he was signed for INR 20 lakh in 2022, though limited opportunities restricted his impact there. A move to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024 for the same price proved to be a turning point, as Ramandeep featured in all 14 matches and played crucial roles in KKR’s title-winning campaign. His rise continued with an India A call-up for the Emerging Men’s Asia Cup, and a series of impressive performances there eventually earned him a maiden India call-up for a T20I series against South Africa.
