Senuran Muthusamy is a reliable left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox spinner, known for his composure and utility in South Africa’s domestic circuit. Born in Durban, he began his first-class career with KwaZulu-Natal before being drafted into the Dolphins squad following the shift to a franchise-based system.
Muthusamy had a standout 2016–17 Sunfoil Series season, where he announced himself with a career-best 181 against the Knights and contributed significantly with the ball, picking up 27 wickets. His all-round performance that season marked him as a promising talent in South African cricket.
Having already featured for the Dolphins in domestic T20 competitions, Muthusamy was picked by the Cape Town Knight Riders during the draft for the inaugural Global T20 League, reflecting his growing reputation as a dependable all-rounder.
