About

Khushdil Shah has been a prolific run-scorer in Pakistan’s domestic limited-overs circuit. A powerful left-handed middle-order batsman, Shah is known for his aggressive approach, particularly strong on the leg-side. Unlike many left-handers who rely on timing and finesse, Khushdil's batting is built on raw power. He excels against spin, often using his feet effectively and targeting the arc between long-on and square leg.

Since making his List A debut in 2016, Khushdil has consistently piled up runs at an impressive strike rate. His domestic performances and steady T20 record earned him a call-up to Pakistan’s T20I squad for the 2019 tour of Australia.

In the Pakistan Super League, he initially featured for Peshawar Zalmi before moving to Multan Sultans in 2020. That same year, he made his ODI debut for Pakistan. While he featured in just one match in 2020, he returned to the ODI setup in 2022, playing nine matches in the middle and lower middle order. Despite limited opportunities, he maintained a healthy strike rate of over 100.

Though his performances in PSL 2023 and 2024 were underwhelming, Khushdil earned a recall to the national side for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. With his finishing ability and power-hitting credentials, he remains a valuable option for Pakistan in the shorter formats and will be eager to make the most of his opportunities on the big stage.
