Farhan, Sadaqat Power Pakistan to Series Victory Over Sri Lanka

Brilliant batting performances from Maaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan helped Pakistan secure an emphatic 82-run victory over Sri Lanka, sealing the T20I series in style at Rawalpindi.

Sadaqat smashed a sensational 96 off just 51 balls, while Farhan contributed a blistering 73 off 44 deliveries as Pakistan posted a formidable total of 215 for 3. The hosts accelerated dramatically in the final 12 overs, scoring 156 runs to put Sri Lanka under immense pressure.

After a strong partnership between Sadaqat and Farhan yielded 73 runs, Sadaqat combined with Hasan Nawaz to add another 72 runs, giving Pakistan a commanding finish.

Sadaqat and Farhan Lead Pakistan's Batting Assault

Pakistan made a steady start, reaching 55 for 1 by the end of the seventh over. However, Sadaqat soon shifted gears, unleashing a series of powerful strokes against both pace and spin.

The left-hander struck seven sixes and several boundaries, dominating the middle and death overs. He scored 79 runs off 40 balls during the second half of the innings, including three sixes in the 16th over against Maheesh Theekshana.

Sadaqat came close to a maiden T20I century but was dismissed for 96 on the final ball of the innings while attempting to clear the boundary.

Farhan also played an aggressive innings, taking on Sri Lanka's spinners and reaching his half-century off 31 balls. His 73-run contribution provided the momentum Pakistan needed to build a massive total before he was caught at deep third off Dasun Shanaka in the 15th over.

Sri Lanka Collapse Under Pakistan's Pace Attack

Chasing 216 for victory, Sri Lanka struggled from the outset and failed to establish meaningful partnerships. The visitors lost five wickets for just 64 runs by the 11th over, leaving their hopes of levelling the series in serious doubt.

Salman Mirza provided an early breakthrough by dismissing Lahiru Udara for five with an excellent bouncer. Although Sineth Jayawardena briefly counterattacked with three consecutive boundaries, Sri Lanka reached only 35 for 2 at the end of the powerplay.

Mohammad Imran then delivered a superb bowling performance, finishing with figures of 3 for 11 from his four overs. He dismissed Jayawardena with a top-edged pull before removing Kusal Mendis and Sahan Arachchige in quick succession.

Wicketkeeper Khawaja Nafay played an important role by taking two excellent catches to support Imran's devastating spell.

Imran's impressive variations, accurate line and disciplined lengths made scoring extremely difficult, pushing Sri Lanka's required run rate beyond 15 runs per over by the 10th over.

Pakistan Seal a Dominant Series Win

Sri Lanka attempted to fight back through some late boundaries from Chamindu Wickramasinghe and Theekshana, but the target proved far beyond their reach. The visitors eventually finished on 133 for 7, suffering an 82-run defeat.

The victory highlighted Pakistan's strength in both batting and bowling, with Sadaqat and Farhan leading the charge with the bat while Imran and Mirza dismantled Sri Lanka's batting order.

Pakistan's emphatic performance ensured a memorable series victory in front of a packed Rawalpindi crowd, with Sadaqat's explosive 96 and Imran's outstanding bowling emerging as the defining contributions of the match.
