Queen’s Park Oval Names Stand After Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine

Trinidad and Tobago cricket stars Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine have been honoured with a stand named after them at the historic Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.

The Bravo, Pollard, Narine Stand, formerly known as the Trini Posse Stand, was officially unveiled on Monday as part of Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Day celebrations. The honour recognises the trio’s outstanding contributions to T20 cricket and their impact on cricket in Trinidad and Tobago.

Pollard, one of the most experienced players in T20 cricket, has featured in 751 matches, scoring 14,933 runs and taking 341 wickets. Bravo finished his illustrious T20 career with 6,970 runs and 631 wickets from 582 matches.

Narine, meanwhile, recently became only the second bowler in the history of T20 cricket to reach the milestone of 650 wickets. He is also the leading wicket-taker in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) history, having played 614 T20 matches.

The three players have played a major role in the growth and popularity of T20 cricket around the world. They have also been key figures for the Trinbago Knight Riders, one of the most successful franchises in the CPL.

All three are currently in Trinidad for the CPL 2026 season. Pollard and Narine are representing the Trinbago Knight Riders as players, while Bravo is serving as part of the franchise’s coaching staff.

The newly renamed stand becomes the latest section of Queen’s Park Oval to honour a Trinidad and Tobago cricket great. Other areas of the historic venue include the Brian Lara Pavilion, Deryck Murray Players’ Gallery, Jeffrey Stollmeyer Stand and Learie Constantine Stand.

The recognition comes shortly after the Trinbago Knight Riders retired Bravo’s iconic jersey number 47. The franchise retired the number in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to the team, the Caribbean Premier League and cricket in Trinidad and Tobago.

The naming of the stand further cements the legacy of Bravo, Pollard and Narine, whose achievements have made them among the most influential cricketers to emerge from Trinidad and Tobago in the modern T20 era.
